Ron Moved to the area only a few years ago after losing his long-time job at a paper factory. Although he had been writing small stories for some time, it wasn’t until he met his previous friends’ ghost hunting that he decided to use what he knew to make some money. In doing so, causing jealousy among his fellow ghost hunters, he no longer is welcome. Ron was making ends meet more of a free spirit, living a simple life with the only remaining asset he had from his family. The small cabin was a good home whenever he was there when he was young. And now, the only place that he could afford. And allowing him to investigate the supposed haunted maples in the town where he now lives.
He is now friends with Roween after saving her friend Amanda when she was injured. And now, Linda’s husband. He is also someone who carries a fairy ring.
Linda Henderson
Age 33
Caucasian, blue eyes, five foot six, long red hair.
Owner of the Book shop called Paragon Mists. She has been a long-time friend of Roween. She has known the fairy since she was young. Although she lived in Massachusetts, her family owned a house in New York, and Linda moved there when she opened the book store. She is well-mannered and understanding. Her main feature is her red hair. A free-flowing, almost fire red glow to it, according to some people. She pretty much kept to herself and accepted anyone who visited her shop. However, some in the town consider her a witch due to her store carrying mostly eclectic and books dealing with magical creatures and lore.
The simple promise was given to her by Roween to find love, along with a fairy ring. Linda has made a comfortable place among the small town in New York.
Amanda Supp
Age 12
Brown eyes and hair, about four foot seven, dusky skin tone, southern European, mixed ethnicity.
Amanda has lived off and on till recently in the house that her family owned in this town. Her family was forced to move into the tiny home after their place in the city was repossessed. Amanda’s family had fallen on hard times due to the legal business her parents were employed. Amanda loved reading mysteries, and she has an uncanny way of making people feel at ease around her. She is protective of others and seems able to work with just about anyone. This twelve-year-old seems mature for her age, even if she believes in fairies. However, having one as a friend doesn’t seem to be a problem for her either.
Amanda is known for always finding friends and trouble. Her outlook is somewhat magical to most, with her not genuinely caring what the world thinks of her and what she believes. She became friends with Linda as soon as she visited the book shop. The young girl enjoyed the tales and memories that Linda would tell her about her time growing up with Roween.
Roween
Age: how old is the world again?
Whitish skin with hints of pink and brown, deep blue glass-like eyes, white to fading green hair, about four inches tall. She is always speaking in a rhyming musical tone.
Roween isn’t human. Her size is not indicative of her strength and power. She has been a part of the world since it began. Although when asked what she does, she usually replies, “many things.” She has knowledge that she keeps from others. Humans don’t need to know such things. Although her home is a tree, she does not require such facilities. The tree she now inhabits has only been her home for a little over a hundred years. Roween always seems to be rushing off, her statement “many things to do” well-engrained in any of her friends’ minds and hearts. What is a mystery is that being a very powerful being, she enlists the help of others when needed. Whether it is because she needs to or has other designs, her motives are truly only known to her.
Roween has known Linda since a young age and became friends with Amanda only a few years ago. Her new friendship with Ron was something even he didn’t completely understand. Considering that when he was in trouble with the police, they were met with fairy magic, and he was off the hook. However, that concern seemed to fade from Ron the more he and Roween interacted, making him feel more at home within the haunted maples of this town.
Sasha Elmsworth
Nickname: Satch
Age: 26
Green eyes and black hair, it used to be ash colored. About five foot four. Light skin tone, Nordic features, but at the moment she has more, cat-like features that show up from time to time.
Witch, Nature magic. Moved from Ohio, She is searching for a new teacher. She has been learning how to do magic since she found out that she could. Her teacher disappeared. She has a slight problem, She tried a transformation spell and something went wrong. She only found that her friend, mentor Wend, was missing after she needed help. Satch was able to undo the incantation, mostly. She is searching for another teacher. She is adept at nature magic and speaking with animals. Malik, a raven made of the dust of the Earth, is her chosen familiar. The name Satch was given to her by Malik because she was always carrying a large handbag.
